Look, a facelift for a riding short haircut! Aunt Corrie will like that.
You recognize Dutch people everywhere. It doesn't matter where you are, you can always pick them out somewhere. In the past, it was the Germans who you could recognize by their clothing when they arrived were another country, now it's the Dutch. You know them.
Especially if they have a short haircut and a Bugs Bunny backpack. Normally not strange in a child or teenager, but it is in a middle-aged adult. “Yes, that's how I am. Nice and spicy. Enjoy myself. I say what I think.”
Tantie Corrie
Of course, those people must all have a car. A regular hatchback or sedan is not crazy enough. A crossover comes much closer. For now, the Nissan Juke might be the ultimate automotive equivalent of a cropped haircut. It is your aunt (still single) Corrie, complete with short hair and, if necessary, a tan in it.
Anyway, there is for those people now the facelifted Nissan Juke! While Skoda opted for a months-long campaign, Nissan kept it quite discreet. So now we were suddenly surprised with the plates of Nissan's popular crossover. Yes, popular! Last year, more than 1,600 were sold in our country. Not bad for a car that is not a special lease edition or PHEV.
Nissan has adjusted a few important things in the interior. Both the center console and the instrument panel: completely new. The infotainment screen is also new, as is the navigation system. From February 17 to 24, navigation will automatically send you to the RAI building in Amsterdam. No idea why. Joking aside: Nissan says that the materials are higher quality and that the finish is more careful than before. These are good steps that a manufacturer sometimes skips.
Driving short haircut is YELLOW!
New for the Juke facelift model is this shade, which according to… the press release new color yellow is called. Perhaps there will be a name for it. Nice detail: it turned out that Aunt Corrie kept nagging about that yellow color.
You could get that on the first generation Juke (F15), but not on this second generation of the Nissan Juke (the F16). The Japanese car manufacturer is correcting this by including the color again in the range. It also looks great with Aunt Corrie's yellow nylon fanny pack and yellow raincoat.
Also new is the N-Sport version. That is a sportier variant, but still with the regular engine. Speaking of engines, there is a choice of two powertrains. The first is a 1.0 DIG-T petrol engine, a 999 cc three-cylinder that delivers 115 hp and 180 Nm.
For a short time, the block can even squeeze out 200 short Newton meters. Another option is the hybrid with a 1.6 four-cylinder and electric motor, with 143 hp. This has no plug.
It is not yet known when the facelifted Nissan Juke will come to the Netherlands and what the prices will be.
