In the hours immediately following its presentation at the Xbox Games Show, an interesting detail emerged about the development of Fableas Eidos Montreal itself confirmed that it is working on the game, a Playground Games support.
After the spectacular trailer shown during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, which once again demonstrated how Fable is one of the most promising upcoming titles, now with a release period set for 2025Eidos Montreal intervened on X published the post below.
In fact, this confirms what had previously emerged only in the form of a rumor, through a short message from the talented team responsible for Deus Ex and the recent Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
“We are so excited to support the development of Fable!” The Eidos Montreal post reads, “It was amazing collaborate with the Playground Games team to build an unforgettable adventure.”
Eidos is therefore also added to the Xbox support teams in this project, in a similar way to what Crystal Dynamics did for Perfect Dark, which demonstrates how the ex-Square Enix teams are particularly close to Microsoft in this period and also makes us think to possible future prospects.
These are particularly capable studios on the technical front, and in particular Eidos Montreal together with Playground seem to form a combination with truly explosive potential, something demonstrated by what has been shown so far on Fable, waiting to be able to get to know it more closely.
Even the trailer shown yesterday was essentially made up of game clips, including gameplay and cutscenesand confirmed the excellent impressions of the previous trailer, now also with a time window for the release positioned at 2025 on Xbox and PC, obviously on day one on Game Pass.
