The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) intercepted, around 12:30 pm this Sunday (3), in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, a small aircraft carrying 500 kilos of drugs. According to the statement released by the FAB, the plane entered Brazilian airspace without authorization and was classified as a suspect Two FAB A-29 Super Tucano fighter jets were employed in the mission, carried out in conjunction with the Federal Police (PF)
Agents tried to contact the pilot, but did not get any information from him. The plane, without contacting the control, failed to comply with all the policing measures carried out, showing itself to be hostile. As he did not obey any of the orders, the military then fired a detention shot, which aims to hit the target.
After the execution of the arrest shot, the aircraft, which had no flight plan and entered Brazilian airspace through the border of Mato Grosso do Sul, made a forced landing in the state of São Paulo, between the cities of Jales and Pontalinda.
Also according to the FAB, two people fled the scene of the forced landing before the arrival of the police and about 500 kilos of cocaine base paste were found on the aircraft.
