It is already Formula 2 time for Clement Novalak. The transalpine driver, who this season has performed well in Formula 3 with the colors of the Trident team, has been announced by MP Motorsport for the two final rounds of the 2021 championship – Jeddah and Abu Dhabi – as well as as a starting driver for all of 2022.
For Novalak this is a well-deserved promotion after what has been shown this season. Despite his lack of success, Clement made the most of the opportunity provided by Trident by finishing third in the standings.
“I am thrilled to have my first taste of F2 in Jeddah and Yas Marina,” said Novalak. “This will help me with the full time commitment next year. I am really grateful to MP Motorsport for giving me this opportunity ”.
“MP is a team that has achieved successes in F2 in the last two years and I hope that our collaboration will allow me to win again”.
To welcome the Frenchman, who will take over from Lirim Zendeli, was MP Motorsport team manager Sander Dorsam.
“We are delighted to be able to welcome Clement to our team for 2022 and we are thrilled to be able to give him the opportunity to take his first steps in F2 in the last six races of this season.”
“He had a solid championship in Formula 3 and especially in the final phase he climbed from sixth place in the standings to third. It has been impressive and we are aiming to capitalize on this momentum by putting it in one of our cars these past two rounds. I am sure that next year will be one of the best rookies on the grid ”.
