Monza changes face. The shareholders’ meeting of SIAS, the company that manages the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, has decided to appoint Alfredo Scala as Deputy General Manager.
The mandate entrusted to the manager who also maintains the role of Director of the Autodromo di Vallelunga is to “strengthen the operational and administrative management of the Company, as a result of the strong evolution imprinted by F1, owner of the rights, in the organization of the Grand Prix of Italy according to more advanced organizational standards, as well as the need for a new qualified management of the sports facility for ever more efficient management of all the motoring events on the calendar”.
Scala is asking for an important change of pace: to put all the political parties at the same table to share the project for a Monza that must change according to the expectations of Formula 1, without the episodes we saw this year being able to repeat themselves with the ballet of the Fan Area opened and closed due to the appeals to the magistrates.
Furthermore, SIAS has decided to further enhance the promotion and development of the “Monza 100” brand – born on the occasion of the centenary of the creation of the racetrack – by attributing this specific task to the General Manager, Alessandra Zinno.
The reorganization will be effective from Thursday 1 December 2022.
