Nyck De Vries and AlphaTauri have reached an agreement. The Dutch driver will leave the Mercedes orbit at the end of the season to enter that of Red Bull, an opportunity that will allow De Vries to be at the start of the 2023 Formula 1 world championship.
The official will arrive next week, when the last reservations on the transfer of Pierre Gasly to Alpine should be dissolved. The French team, burned by the market events of last August, is moving with the utmost prudence and, until all aspects related to Gasly’s transfer are contracted, will not make any announcements.
The operation is still in the pipeline, and next week another piece of the 2023 drivers market will be fixed. There are still no announcements relating to the second cars of Williams and Haas.

In the first case, the decision has already been made, and it is Logan Sargeant (present in Singapore) who must complete the last step to obtain the super license. The American will have to wait for the final stage of the Formula 2 championship scheduled at the end of November in Abu Dhabi.

There is no rush, however, in the Haas home, where they can count on Kevin Magnussen. For the second seat, candidates abound, with at least one poker of contenders. In addition to the long-known names (Giovinazzi, Hulkenberg and Shwartzman), Mick Schumacher, who at the beginning of the summer seemed willing to leave the team, also retraced his steps. The lack of alternatives has forced the German to review plans, and at the moment Haas seems to be the only real possibility to stay in Formula 1.
