Imola returns to the center of Formula 1 and motorsport in general this weekend, hosting the seventh round of the 2024 World Championship, as well as the first of the season in Europe.
We still have Lando Norris’ first Formula 1 victory in our eyes, which was also McLaren’s first after several years. The last one, in fact, came at the hands of Daniel Ricciardo at the 2021 Italian Grand Prix. At the Enzo and Dino Ferrari racetrack the question will always be the same one we have asked ourselves over the last few weeks: will there be someone capable of hinder Max Verstappen and Red Bull?
There are those who, precisely for Imola, have important bellicose plans. Like Ferrari, which will bring a very important package of updates for the SF-24s of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. The goal is to get closer to the RB20s and constantly put them in difficulty.
The new features made their debut this weekend at the filming day in Fiorano, but it will be in Imola where the team will be able to have the first feedback and arrange the single-seaters in such a way as to extract the best fruits from what the Racing Department has achieved during these weeks.

McLaren, after bringing big news to Miami and winning the race, will have to and will want to confirm itself. Winning is difficult, confirming is even more difficult. But the MCL38s seem to have found the right path in development – as happened last year – but several months early. If this were to be the case, then Red Bull will not be able to sleep peacefully.
Mercedes is called upon to give yet another signal to demonstrate that it can break out of a dangerous stalemate. for 3 years now the Brackley team has lost the main road that had led them to win everything and for several years from 2014 to 2021. The current regulation has been misinterpreted on several occasions and the W15 is also confirming itself as a disappointment.
Great expectations at Racing Bulls. After having brought home a good haul of points in Miami, now comes one of the home races, on which it has often had its drivers race even during the winter. The VCARB 01 are growing like the pilots. Will it be enough to definitively get back on top?
