Expo 2020 Dubai turned this week into a gateway for Emirati innovations towards the world by hosting about 60 events within the “UAE Innovation Week at Expo 2020 Dubai”, at a time when the global event addressed the most prominent challenges of food security and the eradication of hunger in the world.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation concluded the UAE Innovation Week at Expo 2020 Dubai, which witnessed the organization of more than 60 events and projects implemented by more than 25 government and private entities, during which the latest innovations and smart solutions that contribute to consolidating the country’s position as a global center for innovation.
During the event, the General Civil Aviation Authority presented the planning program using artificial intelligence, while the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment presented the “Green Barjeel” project, an innovative project that aims to employ innovative production techniques for local algae collected from water bodies in the Emirati desert environment.
Visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai were briefed on the innovative project in the field of “agricultural technology”, which is based on the development of the “B-THIR” system, which has advanced capabilities for drones and artificial intelligence, to pollinate palms and treat the red palm weevil pest. The visitors were also briefed on a live model of health services. For the first time in the world, the Emirates Health Services Corporation will be unique in using the “Metaverse” technology as the first health authority to provide its treatment services through virtual three-dimensional reality.
The Ministry of Interior reviewed four innovative products, represented in the “Emirates Sniper” project, “Emirates Falcon”, “Fire Robot” and “Bin Wareqa Smart Service”, while the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai presented the Dubai electronic document system, which is a reliable digital encyclopedia for all Types of travel documents and documents for various countries of the world, in addition to the “Proactive Service Renewal of the UAE Passport” project, which works to renew the passport 6 months before its expiry.

In addition, the Expo Live program, through its grants, has contributed to creating a state of inspiration for creative solutions that can be implemented and developed, and innovative projects have emerged that can achieve global leadership in the field of food security, provide opportunities for spread and form social relations, in addition to stimulating creative thinking. Expo Live reviewed a group of innovative projects through its platform in the “Creators of Good” pavilion located in the mobility area, an innovation that harnesses techniques to plant trees and restore damaged soil, a project to “scatter seeds today for harvest”, a project to promote agricultural crops, and another desert reclamation, an innovation in high-accuracy weather forecasting, and a project to provide Kenyan farmers with low-cost sources of heat energy.
The Arab Digital Economy Forum – which was launched at Expo 2020 Dubai – witnessed the launch of the Arab e-commerce platform, as the first digital Arab platform in the export of agricultural crops, which is an integrated digital market that brings together farmers, traders, importers and exporters, and Arab and international supply and supply chains, and aims to support farms in The Arab region, and securing the food basket in the Arab world.
The forum focused on five main axes: the transformation of the Arab world into a digital economy, the impact of the digital economy on sustainable development, global trends of digital transformation, e-education, and e-commerce.

A group of countries around the world celebrated the seven new outdoor wonders of nature on the Jubilee Podium at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The seven natural wonders include the rainforest and the Amazon River in South America; Ha Long Bay in Vietnam; Jeju Island in South Korea; the Iguazu Falls in Argentina and Brazil; the island of Komodo in Indonesia; Table Mountain in South Africa; and Puerto Princesa Underground National Park in the Philippines, these seven wonders were chosen based on a global online survey conducted in 2007 with the aim of making a list of the world’s best natural attractions.
