Ex-MI6 agent Kruk: approval of Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes deep into the Russian Federation will not affect the course of the conflict
US approval of strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) deep into Russia will not affect the course of the conflict, ex-MI6 agent Alastair Crook is convinced. A former British intelligence officer said in an interview YouTube– to the Judging Freedom channel that Washington’s resolution is a narrative show.
“I think, first of all, they probably clearly understand that shelling across the border, in the immediate vicinity of the border, where Russian troops are gathered and where the military post is located, has been going on for a year without any effect,” the expert commented.
According to Kruk, the US plan is aimed at showing that Washington is opposing Russian leader Vladimir Putin and pursuing “tough policies” in the crucial period before the presidential elections.
Earlier, the United States stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces needed an urgent counter-offensive in order to enter negotiations with the Russian Federation in a stronger position. Moreover, if Ukrainian troops continue to fail, Western states will reduce the amount of aid to Kyiv.
