Mexico City.- Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez was invited to the White House on Wednesday to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
Derbez, 63, and a select group of Latino personalities were recognized for their contribution to Hispanic culture and community in the United States.
The protagonist of No Se Aceptan Devoluciones shared his excitement at visiting the official residence of the President of the United States, Joe Biden, for the first time. “I’m in Washington because I was invited to the White House, not to the Gaviota House, but to the one here in the United States,” said Derbez, with his characteristic humor.
She attended the event with host Alan Tacher, who expressed his great excitement at visiting the White House for the first time and, furthermore, doing so at her side.
“I’m more excited that you’re going with me to the White House for the first time,” Tacher confessed. Eugenio Derbez took advantage of his participation to talk about the series he just made, …Y Llegaron de Noche, which premieres on October 4. “I’m here to talk about it because the series tells the true story of a group of Latinos during the filming of the Dracula movie in 1930,” he said. During the event, he met with other prominent figures from the Latino community, such as María Antonieta Collins, John Leguizamo, Zoe Saldaña and Los Tigres del Norte.
