What for a long time was nothing more than a marketing banner in the corporate world, ESG is definitely engaging in company management tactics. The world’s largest testing, inspection and certification company, Belgium’s Bureau Veritas says that 58% of this year’s global revenue of €4.8 billion will come from ESG seals.
Second Thamires Suarez, the group’s ESG leader, companies have awakened to the need to prove their environmental, social and governance initiatives. “The mission is to contribute to the journey of companies, governments and institutions from different sectors”, said the executive. “Actions range from sustainable management to the issuance of green bonds and carbon neutrality.”
