On March 1, 2024 there will be the sentence for the review of the Erba massacre case
During the last episode of Fourth Degree, the host Gianluigi Nuzzi returned to talk about the Erba massacre. On live TV, photos of Rosa Bazzi who has been leaving prison since last month to go to work in a social cooperative in the Milanese hinterland and an unpublished document, never seen before, by Olindo Romano were shown.
The two were sentenced to life imprisonment and now there is very little left until the day of the sentence for the case review. Rosa and Olindo confessed to the Erba massacre, but then recanted everything. There are many who believe in their innocence, including Azouz Marzoukhusband of Raffaella Castagna and father of little Youssef.
The document shown by the Quarto Grado broadcast shows a story by Olindo del February 24, 2007. The man is firmly convinced of what he has done, he confesses it and reiterates that sooner or later something had to happen. Just as, in the interrogation that same day, Rosa had underlined: “I took justice into my own hands.”

We waited for some opportunity. One evening it went badly, that evening it went well. Now it's not that I want to stay here and justify myself, what we did we did, everyone knows it remains to be seen. We didn't make a precise plan to go and kill them. We just wanted to give him a beating. Two attempts went badly, the third time went well.
Olindo then spoke about how his wife Rosa had killed the child and then Raffaella. The fire and the escape. For the defense it would be one very important confession for reviewing the process.
I honestly don't feel any remorse, nothing. I have no pangs of conscience and neither does my wife. The more we talked about it, the more we understood that this was the only solution.
