The Ministry of Equality is investigating the possible sexist crime of a woman murdered in Segovia which, if confirmed, would raise the figures to 38 this year and 1,282 since 2003.
According to the department led by Ana Redondo, the woman (33 years old) was hospitalized this Monday, October 14, after being attacked in Arroyo de Cuéllar by her ex-partner, who had a restraining order.
On Monday, October 7, the Ministry of Equality confirmed the last two sexist murders of two women, aged 56 and 41, in the provinces of Almería and Pontevedra, respectively. Thus, if Segovia is confirmed, there would be three victims murdered in October 2024, two more than in the same month last year.
