Acciona Energía has reached an agreement with Endesa Generación for the sale of 100% of the company Corporación Acciona Hidráulica, direct owner of 34 hydraulic installations in Spain with an installed power of 626 MW for an amount of 1,000 million euros.
The operation will generate an estimated capital gain for Acciona Energía of 620 million euros. The closing of the transaction is subject to compliance with suspensive conditions, and is expected to take place during the first half of 2025.
The facilities are reservoir plants (56% of capacity), flow-through plants (30% of capacity), and pumping plants (14%), with an annual production of around 1.3 TWh.
The operation is part of Acciona Energía’s asset rotation strategy and is in addition to the sale of 175MW of hydraulics to Elawan Energy, a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation, for 293 million, completed this month.
