The former Argentine basketball player Emanuel Ginóbili is proud to support ‘startups’ (emerging companies) in his new role as an investor and in love with the entrepreneurial world, as he explained during a talk at the third edition of the IDB Lab Forum, which takes place in Buenos Aires.
“I met many founders with brilliant ideas and a contagious passion, people that gave me pleasure to be helping,” said ‘Manu’ about the entrepreneurial world, of which he highlighted the “added value” it brings to the community and said he was “in love.”
“Today, it catches me, I like it”he added, during a dialogue with Mariano Mayer, Managing Partner & Founder of Newtopia VC, in which he revealed that his goal is simply to try to help. “I take pride, in a way, in supporting,” he said.
Ginobili was the pillar of the ‘Golden Generation’ of Argentine basketballwho won Olympic gold in Athens 2004.
