“I think I had to say it. That it was going to fall on my conscience not to say it.” The actress Elisa Mouliaá has reiterated this Tuesday in several interviews the reasons she gave to elDiario.es for filing a complaint – first publicly and then at the police station – against Íñigo Errejón for an alleged sexual assault in the first statements she has made in front of the cameras . Mouliáa has insisted that she is “glad” to have made her story public and has stated that “no woman has to go through this again”: “I am not going to regret it and I don’t care what this turns out to be, the judge will have to decide if it is a crime or not it is a crime. I have told what happened to me and that’s it. I think that no woman has to go through this again,” she said in an interview with Europa Press.
“I’m getting stories from girls,” Mouiliaá assured another journalist from the Gtres agency, who approached her at the door of her house. “The way he acted toward me that night was a pattern” that repeats itself in other women’s experiences, she says. Specifically, two “victims of Íñigo” have contacted her and, as she explained, she said “absolutely the same phrases” to one.
The actress stated in the dialogue with Gtres that Sumar’s former spokesperson “is a person who is not right in the head.” “You don’t lock someone you don’t know in a room and start touching them,” stressed the woman, whose complaint has been admitted by the Investigative Court Number 47 of Madrid, where she will have to ratify it.
“I admired their political speech, and I am very sad that this is happening because it seemed like a hopeful and good party for Spain, but in the end I decided that the important thing was the women,” she elaborated on her decision. “I don’t want to be a victim because it hasn’t affected me, I haven’t wanted it to affect me nor do I want it to affect me.”
The woman acknowledges that her environment has recommended that she limit her public interactions and she still does not have a lawyer for the process: “They tell me: it is not good for you to expose yourself because people start to say that you are looking for fame and shit, and I don’t want anything.” .
In a few days he will have to go to court
Court number 47 of Madrid received the complaint last Thursday. The magistrate’s first move was to ask Congress if Errejón had effectively left his deputy record, receiving an affirmative response from the lower house early in the afternoon. Legal sources already explained then that it was necessary to complete this procedure to be able to declare himself competent, since the deputy’s record implies that the former Sumar spokesperson would be certified before the Supreme Court.
In his complaint, Mouliaá explained that he met and spoke with Errejón throughout 2021 and that in September of that year they met at a party. She claims that the politician grabbed her “strongly” by the arm to take her “by force” to a room whose door he locked “so that she could not escape.” Errejón, according to the complaint, began to “kiss and touch” the woman until “he pushed her onto the bed and took out his virile member.” Everything happened, she added, without her consent and while she was “paralyzed.”
