The Israeli Army confirmed this Saturday that eleven soldiers have been injuredincluding three seriously, due to the impact of a projectile fired by one of its own tanks during the invasion of southern Lebanon against the militias of Hezbollah.
A preliminary investigation collected by the newspaper Haaretz has concluded that an armored unit had the intention to shoot at a specific buildingbut mistakenly hit a different building where the soldiers were located.
The Army confirmed that the projectile was not shot by accident and the Israeli military “were not misidentified as potential enemy combatants.” The other eight Israeli soldiers were slightly injured and their lives are not in danger.
This event occurred hours after the home of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahuin the Israeli town of Caesarea was the target of an attack with a drone that has left no victimsas reported by the president’s office.
Although no one has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, an Israeli government official has denounced the Channel 12on condition of anonymity, that “Iran tried to kill the prime minister“, in reference to the Hezbollah militias, considered the extension of the Islamic Republic in Lebanon.
