The nascent PGA Tour Americas, product of the fusion of the old Latin American and Canadian circuits, will have its first stop in Colombia starting this Thursday and the last of the tour through the Latin part of the continent.
After two tournaments in Mexico and one in Brazil, Peru and Ecuador, respectively, the Tour arrives at the El Rincón de Cajicá club, where the Inter Rapidísimo Golf Championship will be played, a tournament that distributes a purse of 225 thousand dollars, of which the winner takes 40 thousand.
The tournament on the outskirts of Bogotá closes the first part of the season and will deliver, at the end of it, conditional cards for the Korn Ferry Tour to the first two of the accumulated of the semester in the Fortinet Cup, the equivalent of the FedEx Cup in the PGA Tour.

Celia comes from a very good performance in the previous tournament, the Kia Open in Ecuador, where she finished in third place, and she had already had good feelings at the Korn Ferry Tour stop in Bogotá, the Astara Golf Championship, where she finished in the box 32.
“The Korn Ferry week was very positive, I was in contention, I didn’t finish the way I wanted but I didn’t betray my game plan or my way of playing, so I’m calm with that, and golf always gives revenge,” said the Barranquilla.
The group of Colombian players in the competition, which will be played from Thursday to Sunday, is completed by Diego Vanegas, Iván Camilo Ramírez, Juan José Aleán, Alejandro Velásquez, Juan Pablo Luna, Gabriel Cadena, Santiago Chamorro, Esteban Jaramillo, Felipe Álvarez and Juan Francisco Mejía.
