The candidate for governor of Yucatán, Joaquín Díaz Mena (Morena-PT-PVEM coalition), went to section 0380 at the “Juan Pablo Sabido Sosa” primary school, in the Amapola neighborhood, to cast their vote around 9:30 in the morning.
Although the candidate was supported by his followers to enter to vote without waiting in line (justified by the damage to his eye due to a vehicle accident when he returned from a rally in the municipality of Seyé), several Citizens complained that he did not wait in line, because they had more than two hours waiting to cast their vote.
Despite this, the candidate managed to cast, vote and pose with his finger marked for the media that followed him.
The politician was accompanied by his parents, teacher Fanny Mena and Mr. Álvaro Díaz; his wife, Professor Wendy Méndez, and his children, Joaquín and Julián.
