El Buen Fin is a promotional campaign that is celebrated every year in Mexico. The program is designed to encourage consumption and reactivate the country’s economy. The initiative was born 13 years ago as a public-private strategy to stimulate purchases and employment opportunities in the last quarter of the year. It is organized by the Ministry of Economy (SE) with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, the Federal Consumer Prosecutor’s Office (Profeco) and the Tax Administration Service (SAT). It has the support of some business entities such as the National Association of Department Stores and Self-Service Stores (ANTAD), the Business Coordinating Council, the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco-Servytur), the Association of Banks of Mexico , the National Chamber of the Radio and Television Industry, the Mexican Internet Association and the Mexican Online Sales Association.
Last year, the project generated an economic impact of more than 150,000 million pesos, with an increase of 11.5% compared to 2022. Concanaco-Servytur points out that the product categories with the greatest dynamism were clothing, footwear and accessories, sporting goods, appliances, electronics and technology, beauty and personal care, food and beverages, furniture and home decoration.
When will El Buen Fin 2024 be and which stores are participating?
The SE has confirmed that El Buen Fin 2024 will take place from November 15 to 18. The agency indicates that the list of participating stores and available discounts can be consulted through the official campaign portal. Some retailers have confirmed that they will be part of the program. Among them stand out:

The Ministry of Economy mentions that only companies and individuals registered in the initiative’s registry will be able to legally use the El Buen Fin brand. It adds that “the general public will be able to verify if the establishment in which they made their purchases is official partner by reading a QR code that will be displayed in the stores’ advertising.”

Profeco has issued a series of recommendations so that consumers can make the most of the El Buen Fin 2024 promotions. It advises evaluating payment options and the impact that purchases can have on personal finances in the short and long term. It suggests analyzing the characteristics and benefits of each product or service to guarantee an intelligent investment.
The agency points out that the cost of merchandise may vary between establishments. Indicates that the platform ‘Who’s who in the prices for El Buen Fin’ allows you to compare the prices of various products in different categories. Simply enter the site, enter the city, municipality or mayor’s office where you want to make the purchase and search for the desired item or brand. Available offers can be filtered by value, availability and point of sale.
