The Egyptian Ministry of Trade said in a document, today, Wednesday, that Egypt has extended the ban on the export of wheat, flour (flour), corn, lentils, beans, pasta and edible oils of all kinds for an additional three months.
The ministry added that it will allow the export of quantities surplus to the needs of the local market after approval from the ministry. Excess quantities will be estimated by the Ministry of Supply.
Egypt banned the export of these basic commodities last March.
The ministry said that the ban on the export of vegetable oils is limited to “soybean, palm, sunflower, cotton and corn oils”, with the exception of other oils.
