The Foundation released its annual book entitled “The Best Travels of Lonely Planet in 2022”, amid hopes for the recovery of the tourism sector, which has suffered severe blows due to the Corona crisis.
In its guide, the Foundation highlighted the top 10 countries, top 10 cities, and top 10 regions that tourists can visit during the next year, according to CNN.
In the list of the top 10 countries, Egypt was described by “Lonely Planet” as “the home of the Pyramids of Giza, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World”, adding that “the world continues to learn new about these architectural marvels every year.”
The Foundation also called on tourists to explore nature in the Sultanate of Oman, between the mountains, the desert and the waters of the Strait of Hormuz.
The list of the top 10 countries as tourist destinations next year included Malawi, Nepal, Anguilla (a British archipelago in the Caribbean), Slovenia, Belize (a small country in Central America), Mauritius, Norway and the Cook Islands (a remote country in the Pacific Ocean).
