The Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Employment offers a total of 830 Vocational Training (FP) places in public centers in the Altiplano for the next school year 2024-2025, which represents an increase of 80 new places that correspond to the four new degrees that can be studied in this region, according to regional government sources in a statement.
These are 4 new FP cycles in the region, two in Jumilla and another two in Yecla. Thus, in the municipality of Jumilla the Intermediate Degree Cycle in the Natural Environment and Free Time Guide and the Higher Degree cycle in Renewable Energy will be taught next year, both qualifications will be offered at the IES Infanta Elena; while at the IES José Luis Castillo Puche de Yecla, you can take the Basic Degree cycle of Electricity and Electronics and the Intermediate Degree cycle of Pharmacy and Parapharmacy.
These FP qualifications are added to the 23 cycles distributed in the different degrees that were already taught in Jumilla and Yecla in the current academic year, among which are Administration and Management; Vehicle Transportation and Maintenance; Food industries; and Wood, Furniture Administration, among others.
The counselor Víctor Marín, together with the mayor Seve González, participated this Friday in the First Youth Meeting of Educational and Professional Guidance of Jumilla in which he reported on the details of the FP offer for the next course that was carried out in response to educational demands and businesses of the municipalities.
Vocational Training in the Region of Murcia has high employability rates, which is why, in the words of the Minister of Education, “it is a very interesting training alternative” and he has indicated that “the vocational training offer next year reaches 43,500 places.” with more training cycles of Basic and Intermediate degrees that are attractive to young people and allow them to continue their studies and obtain a degree.
