In an official ceremony at the Institute of Elections and Citizen Participation (IEPC), Eduardo Ramirez was recognized as the new elected governor of the state of Chiapas. María Magdalena Vila Domínguez, provisional president advisor, gave him the Certificate of Majority and Validity of the State Governor’s election, for having been the candidate with the highest number of votes in the June 2 elections.
In his speech, Eduardo Ramirez He expressed his gratitude to the members of the Let’s Make History coalition, to the nine parties that accompanied him, as well as to the presidents of the PRI, PAN, PRD and the Citizen Movement.
He recognized the work of IEPC for the organization and logistics of the electoral process, and expressed his commitment to working for the progress and prosperity of Chiapas.
“It is a great honor for me to receive this certificate that accredits me as elected governor. Obviously, for me it symbolizes the feeling of the people of Chiapas,” he expressed. Eduardo Ramirez at the IEPC facilities.
Through his social networks, Eduardo Ramírez shared his satisfaction with the support of the people of Chiapas and his vision of a better future for the region.

I am very happy, because the will of the people, the hope and the vision won of a better future for the people of Chiapas”Eduardo Ramírez wrote on his social networks.
During the session of the General Council of the Institute of Elections and Citizen Participation, the final results of the electoral process were announced. Citizen participation reached 62.7%according to the president advisor.
Despite the challenges and some incidents of violence during the gubernatorial elections, the end of the electoral process for the next governor of Chiapas has been reached. In the last session for the accreditation as governor of Eduardo Ramírez, the IEPC did not overlook the acts of violence occurred in the state.
“Such undemocratic conduct has resulted in the non-celebration of elections in the municipalities of Chicomucelo and Panteló, as well as the non-installation of polling stations (…) These events are regrettable and at the time, as now, we strongly reject them and call for non-repetition,” was expressed during the session. .
It should be noted that more than four thousand five hundred people were involved in the electoral process, from Institute staff to members of the district and municipal councils, who participated in the validation of the election.
