Like every month, let’s see the votes given by the famous English magazine Edge in its latest issue, #401, which has on the cover Dragon Age: The Veilguardwhich has been dedicated a long article full of details. In general, many games have been reviewed, but few have proved to be completely satisfying.
The best of the month was the indie Arcowhich took home a nice 9 and will be released in mid-August (August 15, to be precise). It is an original title with a really fun combat system, which convinced the editorial staff.
The votes
The least appreciated of the month was instead Zenless Zone Zerowhich has been fiercely criticized for being the usual gacha in disguise, full of filler quests of no value, which only serve to make players repeat the same actions for hours. It must be said that games of this kind are now very popular, but let’s not split hairs.
But now, enough chit-chat and let’s see the votes assigned by Edge:
- Anger Foot – 8
- Bow – 9
- Dungeons Of Hinterberg – 6
- Summer – 6
- Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn – 7
- Flock – 7
- Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess – 7
- Nobody Wants To Die – 6
- SteamWorld Heist II – 7
- The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak – 7
- Zenless Zone Zero – 5
Also interesting is the coldness towards two much talked about games like Dungeons of Hinterberg and Nobody Wants To Die, which evidently did not convince the editors because they turned out to be less original than they promised.
