Dying Light 2: Stay Human making its debut in stores it will not support cross-play, which could be bad news for those who want to tackle the multiplayer campaign together with players from a different platform. However apparently at least the cross-gen multiplayer, i.e. the ability to play between consoles of the same family of different generations, will be introduced after launch.
The confirmation came from a Q&A that took place on Twitch, in which Tymon Smektala, lead designer of Dying Light 2 participated. When asked if the game will support cross-play, Smektala replied: “no, not at this moment; it will not be available”.
As for cross-gen multiplayer, Smektala also stated that it will not be supported in Dying Light 2, but adding that the developers are working to make it possible. after launch.
We remind you that Dying Light 2 will be available in stores starting from February 4, 2022 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and in Cloud version for Nintendo Switch.
Just yesterday Dying Light 2 was the protagonist of a full-bodied gameplay video, which showed the cooperative mode and all the console versions in action.
