Among the most curious and intriguing titles shown in this gaming summer, there is certainly one Dustborn Of Red Thread Games And Spotlight by Quantic Dreamwhich has found space during the recent Future Game Show – Summer Edition with a short trailer (definitely effective though) with which he confirmed the opening of pre-orders for the game.
Dustborn will be available in digital format starting from 20 August 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One at the price of €29.99. A special physical edition is also planned at the recommended price of €39.99, which will contain:
- Two postcards of the iconic locations visited by the group
- A map of the American Republic, including all the stops the band will have to make to reach their final destination
- A 32-page prequel comic describing the lives of all the members of the group before accepting this dangerous mission;
- Stickers depicting iconic elements of the game.
In this peculiar title with a strong narrative component, players will have to face a long journey crossing the streets of an America in 2030, with the aim of transporting and delivering a mysterious package that will allow all the group to put an end to the old life.
The protagonists of Dustborn they are all rather eccentric and endowed with some special power, and in particular Pax, the protagonist, is an “Abnormal” capable of using words to influence the behavior of other people and events. This is because we find ourselves in a world taken from a comic book, in which our choices and actions can always have different consequences.
For each hero, there will obviously also be “bad guys”: in addition to all the minions who will try to stop Pax’s group on their journey to deliver the “special package”, there will also be the “Puritans”, individuals ready to hinder us in as well as indeterminate elements that can alter the course of every story. As an Abnormal, you can control words and create new powers, defending himself, escaping from thorny situations, neutralizing threats and building relationships with his traveling companions or with new characters. Of course, relationships will be difficult to manage, as each character will have their own personal powers, perspectives, motivations, and insecurities. It promises to be an exciting journey, full of obstacles, but rewarding!
