Durant unstoppable, Harden show final: so Brooklyn has beaten Toronto

KD puts 31 points, Barba adds 28 making the difference in the 4th period. Siakam’s return was not enough for the Raptors

Kevin Durant returns for the first time to tread that parquet on which, on 10 June 2019 in race-5 of the Nba Finals, he collapsed victim of the devastating injury that could also alter his career. On the other hand, the KD who returns to Toronto is the same phenomenon that the Raptors fans had applauded on his departure from the field in the Warriors jersey and with his 31 points he leads the Nets to success. Brooklyn changes direction in the race with an excellent third quarter and ultimately wins 116-103.

siakam is there

The Canadian team finally finds Siakam who makes his seasonal debut and the former All Star of the Raptors immediately tries to make himself heard. VanVleet also warms up from the tap-off but as Durant accelerates Brooklyn takes control of operations. Missing the impact of Harden, who closes a first half at alternating current with 0/5 of three, the energy of Griffin, however, helps a lot. On the other hand, Anunoby sends some signals and Toronto gains confidence in the final part of the second quarter. The Nets lend a hand to the hosts with too many one-on-one in attack and some crazy turnovers, the Raptors take advantage and close the first half in crescendo, going to rest ahead 60-53.

gear shift

A whole other music in the third quarter. Brooklyn raises the level of concentration, starts playing his basketball and immediately starts with a 9-0 run that allows the Nets to overtake. Durant’s baskets arrive and the New York team leaves. A triple from KD with four minutes left in a third period dominated by visitors gave Brooklyn the double-digit lead. With the pick and roll of a James Harden much more incisive than in the first half, the visiting team continues to keep the Canadian defense under pressure. Toronto fails to come close because the Nets always find the right answers in attack. Harden’s triple at 3’14 ” from the siren then definitively closes the score, pushing Brooklyn to the more than comfortable +15.
