Martin has a 7 point lead
The MotoGP always starts again from Misano for a hat-trick that also includes the events in Indonesia and Japan. Francesco Bagnaia has seven points to recover from Jorge Martin and will try to take advantage of the home field advantage. Two weeks ago Martin won the Sprint and Marquez the GP, but with 2 second places Pecco has come back in the standings. Below are the words of the official Ducati riders in view of a revenge that promises to be colder, but certainly dry.
Francesco Bagnaia: “We are back racing in Misano for the second time this year, but compared to two weeks ago the conditions will be quite different. There will be lower temperatures and we are also arriving after a day of testing. Compared to Misano 1 my physical condition is better; therefore, we will start with an advantage compared to last time. The Emilia-Romagna GP will also be the first appointment of a triple: from here on the season will take on a faster pace and the finale is approaching so it will be even more important to do well in this phase of the Championship”.
Enea Bastianini: “Racing on your home circuit is always something special and this year we are lucky enough to be back for the second time. Compared to the GP two weeks ago, this weekend we will find lower temperatures and therefore the track conditions will also be a bit different. In the post-race test we managed to find a solution that allowed me to be fast even with the medium rear tyre, which is what we were missing at Misano 1 to try to fight for the win. Let’s see how this weekend goes, but overall I am positive.“.
