Appointment with history for Ducati which celebrates some fundamental moments in its history, in a month of October that promises to be intense for the Borgo Panigale brand. Starting from October 4th, when the initiative “Open Doors to Citizens” dedicated to all the citizens of Bologna. An opportunity to discover the Ducati world up close.
The first stone for Ducati
The event was created to celebrate the discovery of first stone of the Ducati factory in Borgo Panigale, recovered last April. The stone, now exhibited at the Ducati Museumwas laid by the founders, the brothers Adriano, Bruno and Marcello Cavalieri Ducati, on 1 June 1935 in the same place where, still today, Ducati designs, engineers and produces its motorcycles appreciated throughout the world. The stone represents a precious historical artefact and a tangible symbol of the long and prestigious tradition of the Company, underlining the deep roots that, from almost a hundred yearsinextricably link the motorcycle manufacturer to territory of Bolognaal Borgo Panigale district and to community which has accompanied and supported its success over time.
Free entry to the Museum
As evidence of the mutual bond, Friday 4 Octoberthe day on which San Petronio – the patron saint of Bologna – is celebrated Ducati Museum will welcome residents of the Metropolitan City free of chargewith opening hours from 9:00 to 18:00 . Making the day even more extraordinary will be the presence of the Curator of the Ducati Museum Livio Lodi, an expert and history enthusiast, together with whom visitors will be able to delve deeper into the almost centenary history of the brand, exploring the values, heritage and iconic motorbikes that have made Ducati a symbol of global excellence. In addition, from 24 to 27 October the Borgo Panigale brand will be present at Auto e Moto d’Epoca with some of the models that have made the history of the brand.
