Mohammed Abdullah Hazam Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the Football Association, crowned the Dubai Police Club team with the shield of the Beach Soccer League competition for the 2021-2022 season, topping the competition table with 33 points, despite losing to Dibba Al-Hisn Club 4-6, in the match that took place on the stadium Al-Ramli at the headquarters of the Dubai Football Association, as part of the matches of the last week of the Beach Soccer League.
Shabab Al-Ahly club “Wasafa” won the league with 31 points, after defeating the Dubai Municipality team by seven goals without return.
The Secretary-General of the Football Association handed the competition shield and gold medals to the members of the Dubai Police team, in the presence of Rashid Amer Al-Badwawi, Director of the National Teams Department, Mohammed Ali Sorour, Head of the Competitions Department, Ibrahim Al-Mansoori, Vice-Chairman of the Beach Soccer Committee of the Football Association, Lt. Colonel Abdul Basit Ali, Director of the Sports Affairs Department of Dubai Police, and Captain Abdulaziz Al Shamsi, Head of the External Activities Department, Sports Affairs Department, Dubai Police.
Ali Hamad Al-Badwawi, member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association, Chairman of the Beach Football Committee, congratulated the management and fans of the Dubai Police Club for winning the league title. Everyone’s efforts in the success and development of the competition.
Al-Badwawi pointed out that the success of organizing the league competition and the competitive atmosphere it witnessed is a result of the continuous support of the Football Association’s Board of Directors headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, and the council’s keenness to develop beach soccer in embodiment of the Federation’s strategy and vision 2038, which aims to expand the base of game practitioners through local competitions. Monitoring distinguished players and including them in the ranks of our national team.
For his part, Muhammad Abdullah Hazam Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the Football Association, confirmed that the beach soccer league competitions, which concluded today with great success, are evidence of the presence of creative energies that look to the future with optimism, as we were able, with the help of God and the support of our wise leadership, to overcome the challenges that faced sports activity in the world. Due to the Corona pandemic, the Secretary-General commended the great efforts made by the competent authorities in the country, noting that the awareness of the Emirati sports community contributed to the success of all sporting events.
Ibn Hazam praised the cooperation and support of the boards of directors of clubs and teams for beach soccer, whose competitions are very popular.
It is worth noting that the Dubai Police Club, “the league champion”, managed to score 33 points in 15 matches, winning 10 matches in the original time, winning three matches by penalty kicks, and losing two matches.
Shabab Al-Ahly club, “League runner-up”, collected 31 points, from winning 10 matches in the original time, winning one match by penalty kicks, while losing four matches.
