Simplification and renewal for the DS Automobiles range which will adopt a new structure for its commercial offer. The models of the French premium brand will in fact be offered in two new versions which have been called Pallas and Etoile. The choice is dictated by the desire to offer greater clarity and highlight the main characteristics of these models rooted in a tradition consistent with the brand.
The return of Pallas
Thanks to the new range, customers will have access to the best “savoir faire” of the Brand thanks to two extremely expressive versions, offering levels of equipment capable of meeting their expectations. Inspired by the recognition given by Palace to the most luxurious five-star hotels, the name Pallas represents a return for DS Automobiles. The Pallas, a historic DS from the recent past, was put on the market in 1964. Sixty years later, it returns with the same objective: to reflect French “savoir faire”. Presented as a new version, at the time Pallas “aimed to satisfy the desires of the most demanding customers”. Characterized by great attention to detail, it is still considered a true reference in the history of DS. For its return to the range, Pallas maintains its original ambition, with comprehensive equipment tailored to the different segments.
The refinement of Etoile
At the top of the range, Étoile is another decidedly Parisian name. It is the symbol of Place Charles-de-Gaulle (formerly known as Place de l'Étoile), at the center of which the Arc de Triomphe is the arrival point of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées and whose cobbled pavement, seen from the sky, it forms a star. In this square the main Parisian avenues converge, forming a star, according to Baron Haussmann's project. Étoile is also the highest title awarded to ballet dancers at the Opéra National de Paris since the 19th century. Art, architectural creativity, excellence and the spirit of high-quality “savoir faire” come together in these interiors covered in fine Alcantara® or Nappa leather.
The new DS range
Each version will be distinguished by its own specific badge, the motif of which will be inspired by the decorative arts. That of Pallas finely combines the door of a large Parisian palace and the historic axis of Paris (Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, Concorde obelisk, Arc de Triomphe and Arche de la Defense), while that of Étoile resembles a large exalted ray of light from the twelve avenues that converge towards Place Charles-de-Gaulle, called Place de l'Étoile until 1970. The new range of DS Automobiles will arrive on the market starting from 4 April.
