Double zero for the Ferrari in Canada, it hasn’t happened since Baku 2022. Red Bull is once again ‘only’ Verstappen, but the Dutchman is enough to keep the losses to a minimum against McLaren and Mercedes, very convincing in Montreal.
Red Bull has 49 points ahead on Ferrari, which has only 40 more than McLaren in an increasingly heated battle. Mercedes definitively breaks away from Aston Martin which in turn leads the Racing Bulls.
The big hit behind comes from Alpine, which puts Haas in the fight for seventh position. Williams remains behind and complains about the ‘free’ knockout of Albon who was unable to avoid Sainz who spun in front of him. Not even a crazy race allowed Sauber to break the deadlock, the team destined to become Audi still remains the only one without points under its belt.
