Former US President Donald Trump disqualified the legislative committee investigating the assault on Capitol Hill of January 6, 2021, which he called a “kangaroo court”, that is, a court that ignores the established norms or justice, according to The Washington Times.

In a 12-page statement released in response to the latest public hearing of the aforementioned US House of Representatives Committee, Trump further doubled down on his claims that the 2020 presidential election, which brought Joe Biden to the presidency, they were fraudulent.
The Republican also launched his criticism against Biden’s management and reviewed the “failed withdrawal” from Afghanistan, his bad policy on the southwestern border of the United States, which he described as “not secure”, and he blamed Democrats for using the committee to distract Americans from the “great pain they are experiencing.”

“Seventeen months after the events of January 6, the Democrats cannot offer solutions,” Trump said.
“They are desperate to change the narrative of a nation in decline, not even mentioning the havoc and death caused by the radical left just a few months earlier,” he stressed.
Monday’s hearing was the second in a series of public events scheduled for this month, in which the committee hopes to show that Trump may have been behind the attack on the US Capitol.
Committee members are trying to figure out whether Donald Trump knowingly spread false claims that the presidential election was stolen, contrary to their views and advice given to him at the time by various campaign advisers and administration officials. .

The committee is made up of a majority of Democratic congressmen, although there are two Republican members – Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger – who are at odds with Trump.
In the assault on the Capitol, five people died, including an officer after suffering a heart attack hours after the assault, and about 140 officers were attacked. In addition, four policemen subsequently committed suicide.
Just this Monday, the committee revealed that former United States President Donald Trump ignored his main advisers, including his daughter, who recommended that he stop claiming that the Democrats had stolen the 2020 elections.
“Even before the election, Trump decided that regardless of the facts and the truth, if he lost the election, he would say it was rigged,” said Zoe Lofgren, a Democratic congresswoman from this group.
