Doctor’s assistants arrested for trafficking in dozens of false vaccination certificates

The two women (30 and 31 years old) were arrested yesterday and today. The police came across this particular trade in an ongoing narcotics investigation.

The women received a sum of money of between 500 and 1000 euros per vaccination certificate. This fraudulent entry into the registration system made it possible for people to receive a QR code and a completed vaccination passport with stamps from the doctor’s office. The police are further investigating the dozens of customers who have bought a fraudulent ‘registration’.

According to the umbrella organization GGD GHOR Nederland, it is suspected that the employees in question abused the system to which they had access because of their work. These people would have created false vaccination registrations on request, which allowed QR codes to be issued incorrectly.
