The mexicans we are used to adversities, are something everyday in our daily lives. Severe economical crisis, unsafety, unemployment, corruption, violence and endless misfortunes, which, unfortunately, we have come to normalize. And I am not referring only to events that occurred in this governmentbut also to all those who have preceded him.
However, for more misfortunes happen to us, no matter how difficult things have gotten, the mexicans We have always gotten ahead, surviving and thriving. Why is that?
Surely there are countless factors idiosyncrasy, tempera cultural and natural condition that influences the personality of Mexicans and, among them, without a doubt, is resilience.
It’s that adaptability that characterizes us before adverse situations the one that allows us to continue with our lives without ever giving up, although at times we feel defeated, without the desire to continue, we always recover and return to the fight.
That’s because he Mexican He has character and temperance, much more than those who live in countries classified as first world, who have not had to face situations as difficult as ours.
When expressing these feelings, more than thoughts, the words of the Argentine poet Guillermo Mayer in his work titled “Do not give up” that by mistake on the internet, its authorship has been attributed to the prominent Uruguayan writer Mario Benedetti, which I share with you:
Don’t give up, you still have time
to reach out and start again,
accept your shadows, bury your fears,
release the ballast, resume flight.
Don’t give up, that’s what life is,
continue the journey,
follow your dreams,
unlock time,
clear the rubble and uncover the sky.
Don’t give up, please don’t give in,
although the cold burns,
although fear bites,
Even though the sun hides and the wind stops,
There is still fire in your soul,
There is still life in your dreams,
because life is yours and your desire is also yours,
because you have wanted it and because I love you.
Because there is wine and love, it is true,
Because there are not wounds that time can not heal,
open the doors remove the locks,
abandon the walls that protected you.
Live life and accept the challenge,
recover laughter, rehearse singing,
Let your guard down and extend your hands,
Spread your wings and try again,
celebrate life and take back the skies,
Don’t give up please don’t give in
although the cold burns,
although fear bites,
Even though the sun sets and the wind stops,
There is still fire in your soul,
There is still life in your dreams,
because every day is a beginning,
Because this is the time and the best time,
because you are not alone,
Because I love you.
Our ability to adapt well to tragedies, threats, adversities and significant tensions is a very characteristic of Mexicans that can hardly be matched in other cultures. That, above all that, is what makes Mexico great, its people, its wonderful and extraordinary people! that never, ever gives up. Long live Mexico! and Long live the Mexicans!
As always, a pleasure to greet you, hoping that these few letters have been to your liking and, above all, useful. Until next time!
