According to Tom Bogert, the most prominent source in the MLS market, although there is still no formal offer on the table, Real Salt Lake, the owner of Luna’s card, has received inquiries from Europe, specifically from the Belgian Super League, as well as from Serie A and La Liga, where they have set their sights on Luna’s quality, with several clubs seeing Diego as a potential short- and long-term signing.
Diego is in his first year as an untouchable starter for Real Salt Lake and his numbers are brilliant, 23 games for a total of 1,686 minutes on the field, time in which he has contributed 5 goals and 8 assists, numbers that despite his age place him as one of the most differential wingers in the MLS. In addition, right now it seems that these numbers place him much closer to leaving for the best football in the world in Europe than to leaving for Liga MX, pending the definition of whether or not it will materialize this summer.
