Blizzard’s Rod Fergusson reported that the Season 6 Of Diablo 4 will bring some big changes beyond the narrative elements of Vessel of Hatred, as it will bring major changes to the progression system of the game, thus modifying important aspects of the RPG.
Diablo 4 has two major events on the horizon: the launch of Vessel of Hatred and the start of Season 6, and both aim to bring significant evolutions to the Blizzard game. The paid expansion is certainly the largest in terms of content, since it brings with it a new part of the story and much more, but the new season is destined to change important elements of the gameplay.
Vessel of Hatred introduces a new campaign within anew settingwith a never-before-seen class and all to push the RPG forward with new stories and content.
From loot changes to progression changes
Season 6, on the other hand, is set to change some things mechanics Diablo 4’s base game, coming as a free update through the game’s standard progression.
“What we’re saying is that what Season 4 did for loot, Season 6 does for progression,” Fergusson said in an interview with VGC.
The issue is very interesting, because the innovations brought by Season 4 have been appreciated by the community in general, therefore positive changes are expected also on the character progression front.
“So people are going to see a lot of really interesting changes in how we do paragon, how we do difficulty, how we do leveling, and we’re really excited to see all of that come to life in Season 6,” Fergusson added.
