During CES 2024, the hardware manufacturer NVIDIA has unveiled a rich lineup of video games that will take advantage of its graphics technologies, among which Diablo 4which will be updated this month to add support for ray traced reflections and shadows. A dedicated trailer was also published for the occasion.

As visible from the video, ray tracing will improve the graphic quality of the game, in particular with regards to reflections. Shadows, on the other hand, appear less impressive, although also improved.
NVIDIA and Blizzard have been collaborating on the game for some time, so much so that Diablo 4 already supports DLSS 3 and enjoys an impressive framerate at 4K, playing with a GeForce RTX 4090.
NVIDIA also shared some Diablo 4 benchmarks, with some truly remarkable initial performance. In 4K at maximum detail, without DLSS 3 the game drops below 60fps, while with DLSS 3 it rises above 150fps. Unfortunately, the test configuration has not been revealed, although it is assumed that a 4090, the company's flagship card, will be used.
