Designing future government services supported by technology

The Government Services Forum, within the work of the World Government Summit 2024, explores the role of technology in developing future models of service provision, and discusses the design of human-centered services, the digital transformation journey, and mechanisms for employing modern technology and artificial intelligence in developing government services, in dialogue and interactive sessions that witness the participation of an elite group of ministers. Government officials, experts, entrepreneurs and global specialists in the fields of service development, technology and digital transformation.

The forum aims to anticipate the future of government services, by examining new trends and future challenges facing governments, and the major opportunities provided by advanced technology to develop the new generation of future services.

The head of government services in the UAE government, Mohammed bin Taliah, confirmed that the Government Services Forum, which is being organized in its sixth session as part of the activities accompanying the World Government Summit, represents a platform for international cooperation and partnerships aimed at exchanging knowledge and experiences and participating in designing the future of government services.

Mohammed bin Taliah said: “This year, the forum is distinguished by the broad participation of more than 21 speakers and hundreds of experts and government officials, and focuses on new trends in the design and development of human-centered services, the digital empowerment of society and individuals through integrated service platforms and an exceptional user experience, and the role of artificial intelligence in Government services, opportunities and challenges in digital transformation,” indicating that the Government Services Forum will work, through its dialogues and sessions, to draw new directions for designing future government services supported by technology.

The Government Services Forum seeks to support governments’ efforts in utilizing developments in technology applications to enhance their capabilities and support their institutions in facing changes and challenges and designing and providing better services that enhance the quality of life and improve customer experiences.

The forum focuses on four main themes that it covers in its main sessions with the participation of prominent international speakers, including: Designing human-centered services, digital empowerment of individuals and society, opportunities and challenges for the uses of artificial intelligence in government services, and the future of digital transformation. It is noteworthy that the Government Services Forum is part of the future forums and events accompanying the World Government Summit, which focus on anticipating and shaping the features of the most prominent sectors related to the human future.
