California governor says decision is made because the possible Republican candidate is “superior” to Joe Biden
The governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, withdrew this Sunday (21 January 2024) from running for President in the United States elections. The Republican said he leaves the campaign to support donald trump in the race for the White House.
The announcement was officially made on its profile on X (formerly Twitter). In the publication, he says that he disagrees with some of the former president's policies, but that he is “higher” to the current head of the North American Executive, Democrat Joe Biden.

On Monday (Jan 15), DeSantis lost the primary elections in Iowa. Trump had the best victory for a Republican in the state's primaries – he won 98 of the 99 counties.
