Delfino and the post-Coppi cycling crisis in Italy: the book presented in the Region

Genoa – “After Coppi. The strange crisis of Italian cycling in the years of the economic boom“: Carlo Delfino, doctor from Varazzi and cycling historian presents his new work today, Monday 15 April, in the Cristoforo Colombo room of the Liguria Region, in Genoa (Via Fieschi, 15). Appointment at 3pm, with the gem of the screening of a short video on the 1963 Giro d'Italia in which Liguria is very present.

In his historical novel, with preface by Imerio MassignanDelfino analyzes those often underestimated years for Italian cycling that follow the era of the three golden men (Coppi, Bartali, Magni) and precede the advent of Merckx's young rivals (Adorni, Dancelli, Gimondi, Motta), in an era of rapid and significant changes in Italian society.
