The Syrian Ministry of Culture, the Syndicate of Artists and the Syrian artistic community mourned the singer Diab Mashhour, who died on Saturday at the age of 76 after a long artistic career.
The late had suffered from many health problems in the past few years, as he underwent an open-heart operation, and then suffered a stroke in the brain and suffered hemiplegia.
Mashhour was born in Deir ez-Zor Governorate in 1946 and was educated by musician Youssef Jassem to begin participating in social parties and events before moving in 1969 to Damascus, where he was approved as a singer on the radio.
