Capcom announced that Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will be optimized for PS5 Propublishing a couple of comparative images in order to highlight the differences compared to how the game runs on the base model of PS5.
The main novelty will be represented by ray traced reflectionswhich will allow you to admire substantially more realistic shop windows inside the Willamette shopping center, which is the backdrop to the adventure of the very old Frank West.
This enhancement in terms of effects will have no consequences in terms of performance, indeed on PlayStation 5 Pro Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster it will run at an absolutely stable 60 frames per secondwithout any uncertainty, or at least this is Capcom’s goal.
Of course, discontent is already emerging among social media users due to the fact that we have already seen similar visual solutions in games like Marvel’s Spider-Man on the base PS5, also a remaster, and there is therefore the feeling that the developers have kept certain features in reserve for the new console.
A welcome return?
If you’ve read our review of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, you’ll know that the re-release of the Capcom classic includes a series of limitations which twenty years ago would not have bothered us, but which today clearly weigh on the enjoyment of the experience.
For this reason, the choice to re-propose the adventure with only graphic improvements and basically no extra weight may not have been the best idea, where the objective is to relaunching a franchise which nevertheless has great potential.
