Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver have announced Dead Island 2: Ultimate Editiona special edition of the game that contains numerous additional items, including a Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Weapons Packwith a rather particular initiative.
As you can see from the image below, the contents added to the original ones with the purchase of this Ultimate Edition are truly many, and include a good part of the additions announced with the new update that introduces the New Game+ and the Neighborhood Watch mode, but not only that.
The release of the new edition is in fact set for October 22, the same day that the big update for the game will also be released, offering the complete package of Dead Island 2 content, including original content and post-launch additions.
Let’s see all the contents of the special edition
As you can see from the summary image below, Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition includes the original base game and the two expansions post-launch releases, namely Haus and SoLA, as well as other additional elements.
Inside there are several packages already seen previously as Memories of Banoi Pack, Golden Weapons Pack, Pulp Weapons Pack and Red’s Demise Katana.
In total, inside there are 6 Character Packs with characters and their respective characteristics to add to the base game, 5 Weapon Packs with additional weapons to use and two new game modes, namely those coming with the update: Neighborhood Watch and New Game Plus.
Neighborhood Watch is a sort of co-op horde mode developed in collaboration with Fishlabs, in which a group of kids must try to protect the fraternity house from the attack of zombies that charge in progressive waves.
Among the various additions, the most particular is certainly that represented by the weapons taken from Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, which add a touch of the Middle Ages to the horror of Dead Island 2, with a rather bizarre idea but which could be functional.
