Dazn communicated to the usersi the new subscription plan unveiling the new prices for the 2022-23 season. From next August 2nd, the streaming platform that broadcasts the entire Serie A exclusively will propose a new offer, which provides a standard subscription always at 29.99 euros per month, with a novelty concerning the Plus subscription at a cost of 39.99 euro per month, which will allow you to register up to six devices and watch our content at the same time from two devices among those registered even if not connected to the home’s internet network.
On social networks the revolt explodes against the price increase and the new subscription conditions announced by Dazn for next season. Among criticisms, jokes and hashtags, there are those who have posted the cancellation of their subscription and those who threaten to do so if there is not a step backwards by the online platform that allows you to watch Serie A football matches. immediately became a ‘trend topic’ with very bright tones. Dazn will offer users two types of subscription at different costs to activate a “standard” (€ 29.99) or “plus” (€ 39.99) profile which varies in terms of the number of devices that can be registered and users connected at the same time.
The tweets that are popular on the net have shown, once more, Italian imagination and creativity when they are touched in the wallet for what for many is an indispensable passion. There are the more composed criticisms, of a factual nature, with the inevitable promise of cancellation: “Price doubled but the same contents, goodbye”; “The package with only two devices in the same house is only useful for father / son who support two different teams playing at the same time, ridiculous”; “they close the email with ‘our best regards’, mine too, forever”.
Up to the most blatantly ironic ones: “Don’t be surprised if fans prefer to stream the game with commentary in ancient Aramaic”; “Dazn has just done the best ‘pezzotto’ advertising campaign that could ever be done”; “Either we renew Dazn or we pay Lukaku’s card, both impossible”. Obviously there is no lack of criticism on the quality of the service: “40 euros a month to see a spinning wheel”; “bad connections and quality, constant lag, and they also increase the price”. In this case the criticism is uniform and transversal. There are those who then began to compare the prices of Dazn in other European countries: the most cited case is Germany where the cost is 29.99 euros (increased last February) but in the face of a much wider offer of events and championships.
Then, in the queue, there are unhappy, sexist, offensive comments, who often bring into question Diletta Leotta, and who demonstrate how easy it is, on social media, to go beyond the limits of decency. The overview ends with a message from a user who, in addition to using the now inevitable hashtag #daznout, underlines: “Dazn had the merit of uniting all the fans, even Roma and Lazio, in the desire that it disappear from national televisions”.
