Wout van Aert won the fourth stage of the Paris-Nice, held this Wednesday over 13 km, an individual time trial, and is the leader, while Daniel Martínez was the best Colombian and Nairo Quintana gave ground.
Martínez honored the title of current national champion at the clock and in the intermission he gave up only 13 seconds with Simon Yates, who was the best at the timing point.

Nairo ‘punctured’
Already in the final effort, the Ineos team rider performed well and managed to finish just 28 seconds behind Van Aert, who was unbeatable.
Nairo did not have a good day, really. The cyclist from Boyacá of the Arkea-Samsic team lost ground, a lot, in a stage that is not for him, but short, of only 13 km.
In the end, Nairo lost 1 minute 17 seconds with Van Aert and with Roglic, the great benchmark of the competition, the favorite for the title, he already lost one minute 15 seconds.
All the savings that Nairo had in the previous days was lost in the time trial, because it was not an ideal day for him, quite the opposite for his compatriot Martínez, who is better in the general classification and in the mountains he defends himself in the best way.
Yates got into the fight, did a very good stage against the clock and is already fourth, 49 s behind the leader and 47 s behind Roglic, who was the best performer of the day, as expected.
Jumbo Visma’s 1, 2 and 3, after Dennis’s third place in the stage, clearly states that it is the dominant team and the squad to beat in the race, without a doubt, the numbers say so.
The fifth stage will take place this Thursday between Saint-Just and Saint-Rambart, 188 kilometers long, with mountain passes.
Of those stops, three are second category and the others second, the last at km 195 of the day.
