Chapter 3 of the sixth season of “Better call Saul” included Peru in the Netflix and AMC series. During an important scene, the character of Nacho Varga (Michael Mando) reveals information about a dangerous peruvian cartel. This is the second mention of the country in the fiction created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould.

‘The Hate’ of Peru
In the last scene of the third chapter of the final season, a tense situation occurs in which Nacho has to choose his words carefully.
Facing your enemies Juan Bolsa, Héctor Salamanca and ‘The Cousins’the character played by actor Michael Mando has to reveal who he works for.

Varga lies to cover up for Gustavo Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) and says that her employer is Alvarezthe head of a cartel called ‘The Hate of Peru’.
It should be noted that this is the second time that Peru is included in the series. In chapter 2, a wink was also made to the BCRP.
Who are ‘Los Odios de Perú’ in “Better call Saul”?
Curiously, neither Álvarez nor ‘Los Odios de Perú’ have been mentioned before in “Better call Saul” or “Breaking Bad”.
What we discover, thanks to the final scene of the chapter, is that both the Salamanca cartel and the Juan Bolsa cartel know them.

What’s more, given Bolsa’s calm response, it can be inferred that they are enemies they have been dealing with for years.
