Czech President Milos Zeman warned on Wednesday of the “grave danger” of a nuclear conflict due to the current crisis in Ukraine.
In his view, the West should warn Russia that if it used nuclear weapons, there would be a “decisive military response … despite all the consequences that might entail.”
Russian officials have repeatedly emphasized that they will defend their country’s territory with all Russia’s capabilities.
The Czech Republic has exported defense equipment, worth $1.9 billion, to Ukraine this year, according to statements quoted by the Czech news agency CTK, citing Defense Minister Jana Sernochova in Prague.
This amount is considered several times higher than previously known.
