No ‘end 2021’ for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 next-gen.
In the end it happened: CD Projekt RED stated that next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 And The Witcher 3, scheduled for the end of this year, have been postponed to next year.
CD Projekt Red broke the news via a Twitter post this afternoon, almost a year after the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077 for PS4 and Xbox One. “We have a major update regarding the next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for console and PC“, wrote CD Projekt.”Based on the recommendations provided by the teams overseeing the development of both games, we have decided to postpone their releases until 2022.“.
“Our current goal for Cyberpunk 2077 is the first quarter of 2022 and the second quarter of 2022 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. We apologize for the long wait, but we want to fix it“Below you can take a look at the tweet from the Polish development team announcing the postponement.

Just last month, CD Projekt was asked if its new updates to Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 would arrive again in 2021. The company told investors it couldn’t “say for sure” they would arrive. Before 2022, but they were definitely still aiming for the end of the year. So obviously it wasn’t.
